Eric Turner, DMD

Eric Turner was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He ventured to the University of Pittsburgh for college, where he pursued a dual major in Biology and Neuroscience. He served as a teaching assistant for multiple courses and blew off steam by writing music for guitar and singing with the Pitt Pendulums, the University’s a cappella group.

In pursuit of a career that would allow him to combine his science background and his fine motor skills, Dr. Turner shadowed his family dentist to learn more about the field. His dentist showed him how to use a combination of medical knowledge and fine hand skills to improve and maintain patients’ oral health. More importantly, Dr. Turner saw the importance of an outgoing personality in putting people at ease for difficult procedures. His passion and determination grew as he immersed himself in the field.

Dr. Turner attended the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, which allowed him to develop his clinical skills for many complex dental procedures. He worked closely with professors, tackled challenging clinical cases, and continued to shine in the classroom and in the clinic. After graduation, he continued his training at a residency program designed to offer even more clinical experience in all phases of dentistry.

After completing all of his training, Dr. Turner worked in private practice with his mentor in Philadelphia for several years, and now he is the proud owner of Dentistry on Monroe in Charlotte. He continues to pursue technologically advanced techniques and high-level training in implant placement and restoration, Invisalign, and the most effective restorative and cosmetic techniques available.

Dr. Turner and his wife Melissa love living in North Carolina and enjoy exploring the city of Charlotte. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Turner can be found cooking, baking, exercising, playing guitar, skiing, hiking, and traveling.
